2014 Annual TRETA Conference Recap

38th Annual Conference ~ April 24, 25 & 26

The 38th Annual TRETA Conference held in Richardson, Texas was a great success! We had members in attendance representing Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and more!

The Thursday CREI Renewal workshop on Thursday was an excellent session where members learned about new technology for presenting in the classroom to make teaching and timing easier. That evening, many members joined us at the President’s Reception in the lovely reception hall and dined on roast beef and other delicious made to order goodies.

The speaker line-up on Friday was action packed. We learned about the status of the economy, teaching tips for online learning, better preparation for your classroom presentations, and what is going on with the Real Estate Center, TREC, and Texas Savings & Mortgage Lending Dept and the new QM Mortgage Rules.

Our new slate of officers were sworn in at the luncheon and several awards were presented to members that have provided a years of dedicated service to our organization.

On Saturday, we had a great CREI breakfast with many renewals and the honoring of some longstanding CREIs. This was followed by the final presentations of the Mortgage Market Update, Instructor Development, and the Legal Update to close our conference.

Next year’s conference will be in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 16-18, 2015!
